The Giraffe and the Wheelchair

Plain and simple: I just do not fit in my wheelchair, aka, Mr. Miyagi. I have ridiculously long legs. I've always known this and as a child, I was called "praying mantis." But, it wasn't until the wheelchair that I really realized how unnaturally long my stems are.

My wheelchair is sized for my height and weight. What they didn't take into account was my torso is built for a little person, and my legs actually belong to a 6'4 man.

But, no fear... The wheelchair company is bringing me seat and leg extensions. Yay! There is a lesson to be learned here, if you need a wheelchair in the near future, be sure they measure your stems from the get-go.

And yes, yoga pants are the very best for life in a wheelchair! They are comfy and work well with the sliding board... (seen in the background) which helps get me from point A to point B.
